Working text — rev. 2026·07

Design is not decoration. It is the allocation of attention, and attention is the scarcest capital in the world.

Every designed thing is an economic argument: a claim about what something costs, what it is worth, and who gets to have it. Most designers make this argument by accident.

Data is not the new oil. Oil burns once. Data is testimony — a permanent record of what people did, not what they say — and testimony demands a different ethics than fuel.

Markets are designed objects. They have defaults, interfaces, typography. Whoever draws the interface of a market governs it more quietly than its regulator ever will.

The work is therefore not to make things desirable. The work is to make values legible — price, cost, and consequence readable in the object itself.

A design that cannot state its own economics is a lie told beautifully.

Build products where the price, the data, and the interface tell the same truth. File everything. Show enough.
